A pitched roofing project for St. Thomas Aquinas church in Richmond, London.

Contract Value
PROJECT OVERVIEW
A wonderful project that was particularly popular with the local seagull population. The teams on site not only needed to navigate and ensure the normal health and safety procedures were implemented, but also adjust their practices to take into account regular dive-bombing attacks.
As always when working with places of worship, great importance was placed on working closely with the church to ensure a seamless, safe and secure project. It was also vital that we were to ensure the functions of the church could continue as normal whilst the refurbishment works were undertaken.
The roofing works to the church involved the removal of existing coverings and installation of clay plain tiles on several elevations. The existing condition of the timber structures required the refurbishment and renewal of numerous elements. The nature of the building meant that significant lead work throughout was required, including works to the spire, soakers, flashings and a number of additional coverings.
In addition to the roofing works, the project involved the replacement of rainwater goods and external refurbishment works.
