St Alban’s Church: Roofing & Refurbishment
Contract Value: £340,000
A roofing and refurbishment project for a church in West London.
The building had stood empty for eight years before restoration began.
The renewal of the roof coverings included introducing lambs’ wool insulation quilt, photovoltaic and Welsh slates.
We used Code 6,7 and 8 lead to replace flashings and reline the flat roofs.
We employed a blacksmith to replace the crosses which had rusted and split the stone work.
The stone copings and features were replaced with hand carved Bathstone and large areas of the external brickwork were repointed with lime mortar.
The rainwater goods were replaced with new powder coated aluminium and new lightening conductors were installed.
