PROJECT OVERVIEW
We were delighted to undertake this school pitched roofing project in the historic village of Carshalton, south London. In addition to renewing the pitched roofs of this 1940s-built school, we undertook various high-level external refurbishment works.
Special care and considerations are of course necessary for roofing works in places such as schools, and, through careful planning of the scaffolding scheme, as well as deliveries and access, we ensured minimal disruption throughout the works.
Following the stripping of the existing tiles and laying new insulation, we installed plain tiles to the pitched roofs of this U-shaped school block and detached sports hall, followed by all associated lead-work. We then undertook various external refurbishment works, such as repairing and decorating timber louvres.
All works at this south London school were completed on time and on budget.
Working on places of education is always a great privilege for Maguire Brothers; for 40 years we’ve taken pride in ensuring that such projects are completed to the highest standards with minimal disruption to students, teachers and visitors.
