Feltham Magistrates Court: Roofing & Refurbishment

Contract Value: £220,000

A roofing and refurbishment project for a court in South London.

To prevent water ingress during the works and to minimise the risk of disruption during the small windows when work could be carried out, we erected a full temporary roof with Monarflex sheeting spanning the whole of the huge building. Care had to be taken to prevent unauthorised access and we provided protection over the public areas.

Our site foreman maintained a high level of daily liaison with the building users to keep them up to date with progress, deliveries and the overall program. He also supervised the induction of every member of the site work force and ensured that the client’s needs were met.

The high performance specification called for the use of natural slates and a Langley high performance warm roof system. There were also associated external refurbishment items, including the repairs of brickwork, insulation of the roof voids and repairs to the chimneys.

The complex project in a very sensitive environment was completed on time and within budget.
