An example of our ability to work with the NHS on occupied hospital buildings was the refurbishment of the roofs at this busy hospital in Surrey. Our works extended over a large area of the hospital, including wards, operating theatres and administration areas. A considered professional approach to health and safety planning was therefore essential.
Consideration for value engineering and the environment resulted in the installation of a high performance warm roof system which will improve drainage and therefore the performance of the roof, vastly improve the thermal performance of the building and thus reduce heat loss and costs. Waste was reduced by overlaying the original asphalt roof and the system used will not require renewal for at least forty years, offering fantastic value for money over its life time, reducing future maintenance and improving the carbon footprint of the building.
Our large workforce worked tirelessly to install the new bespoke tapered roofing system and our management team liaised closely with the Hospital Managers to ensure there was no disruption to the day-to-day operations of the hospital.
