Comprising 10 student houses this re-roofing phase of the 1960’s award-winning scheme was characterised by complex inter-connecting roofs of slate and zinc and winding ‘streets’ on a sloping site. The contract period was a challenging 10 weeks during the Summer recess.

Rory Maguire, partner of Maguire’s Brothers commented, “The project was very exacting because with no loft spaces available all insulation to achieve new thermal regulations had to be placed between and over existing structure and all work had to be sympathetic with the original design. Access to and within the Court was difficult and the work had to be completed within the Summer Recess – we love a challenge !”
